This shop is a one-person run, queer and trans owned business, with a priority to adorn all those on the outskirts. Ditch Metals is grateful to be located on Lək̓wəŋən Traditional Territory, known as Victoria, BC, and is actively dedicated to fighting toward Indigenous land stewardship and autonomy.
Why the name “Ditch Metals”?
My last name actually translates to “from the ditch”, and the origin of the name is quite literal. On top of being a nod to my family history, I’ve always been fascinated with how every material we ever see has and will always originate from the earth. Even after it has been transformed, everything and everyone comes from nature, and I find so much beauty in that. Beautiful things are made from ditches.
